Students taking the DMACC Basic Computer Hardware class at Pella High built their own computers this semester.

Ani Tangellapalli tells KNIA/KRLS News the course covered the hardware of desktop computers. Tangellapalli signed up for the class due to prior interest in the technology.

“We got to learn a lot more with a teacher instead of a club, because in a club it’s more student taught,” he says.

DMACC Instructor Jesse Jablonski says the new class is made possible by the addition of the Career Academy.

“Getting to build their own computer from the ground up is something the students will remember for the rest of their lives,” Jabonski says.
