Pella Wrestler Receives State Academic Honor

Pella High junior wrestler, Jake Speltz, was recently recognized by The Predicament’s 2015 All-State Academic Team with an honorable mention. Speltz went 37 – 3 in his junior year with a single-season school record of 27 pins during the 2014-15 campaign. He was also the conference champion at 160 pounds. Jake holds a 4.006 GPA, and was voted “hardest worker” by his teammates. He’ll be back as a captain for his senior year for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
