The No. 11 Lady Dutch golf team fell 14 strokes short of rival No. 3 Grinnell at the Pella Golf and Country Club last night.

Pella shot a 193 compared to Grinnell’s 179. Leading scores were from Runner-up Medalist Brooke Galleazzi (46), Halie Veenstra (47), Lauren VanWyk (48), and Maddie Johnson (52).

Both the Pella and Pella Christian boys golfers were at Edmundson in Oskaloosa for the Indians’ home invitational. The boys in green placed 2nd in a highly competitive field, as their 320 was Pella’s lowest 18 hole score of the season, finishing behind Norwalk by five and edging Washington and Oskaloosa by three and four strokes respectively.

Pella Christian Head Coach Joel Rietema said the Eagles had a diffcult day after a tough, competitive meet Monday, and says they have more work to do in practice to get ready for two more meets this week after they finished in 15th place.
