Goals were roaring like the gusty conditions at the Pella Soccer Complex for the No. 4 Lady Dutch soccer team in an 8-1 blowout over No. 15 Newton last night.

After a disappointing lack of goals last week against Nevada, the Pella attack created offense all over the field against the Cardinals, led by four goals from Grace Held, and one apiece for Erica Bossard, Maddie Canfield, Ellie Howard and Caroline Bradley.

The Lady Dutch are now 7-2 and take an extended break due to Tulip Time, returning to action at the Lacey Sports complex one week from today against Oskaloosa.

Pella’s boys–riding a nine-game winning streak, are hoping to keep up their momentum heading into a week long rest, as they travel to face Cardinals at Pella High School this evening.

Varsity action begins at approximately 7 p.m. in Newton.
