Pella Police Department Weekly Police Report
11/27/11 to 12/03/11

During the week of November 27, 2011, to December 3, 2011, the Pella Police Department
received 130 calls for service, issued 10 citations, 24 warnings, 7 parking tickets and arrested 5
people resulting in 7 charges.

COMMUNICATION CENTER WEEKLY STATS

During the week of November 27, 2011, to December 3, 2011, the communications center
fielded 258 telephone calls, assisted 38 people at the window, and fielded 31 incoming calls on
the 911 system.

On 11-28-11 Scott M. Berning, 34, of Pella was charged with obstructing emergency
communication. Scott was cited and released with a court date.
On 12-02-11 A male juvenile was charged with possession of tobacco under age. The
juvenile was cited and released to his parents.
On 12-02-11 Cody W. Vanderbeek, 24, of Oskaloosa was charged with driving while
suspended. Cody was cited and released with a court date.
On 12-02-11 A male juvenile was charged with driving while suspended and possession
of tobacco under age. The male was cited and released to his parents.
On 12-03-11 Samantha J. Bloodsworth, 27, of Pella was charged with theft 4th and theft
5th degree. Samantha was pre-trial released with a court date.

On 12-01-11 and 12-02-11 Communications Specialist Sarah Kingrey attended a training
entitled Mental Health First Aid. The training focused on how to effectively deal with
emergency situations involving persons with mental health issues. The Iowa Law
Enforcement Academy instructed the course which was held in DesMoines.
