Knoxville led the field of local schools competing at Thursday night’s PCM Mustang Invitational cross country meet, as the Panther boys took the team title with a comfortable victory over Ballard; and girls squad finished in fifth.

A strong field of teams at the Class 2A District/Regional cross country meet in Ames prevented any of our area teams or runners from qualifying for the State Meet, though some strong individual performances still highlighted the final meet of the season.
