For the Pleasantville football team, 2015 was a pretty good year. A season that saw an 8-1 regular season record, seven straight wins to open the season and a state playoff win, it was just what Head Coach Gabe Bakker wanted from his squad.

Two Pleasantville Football Players Garner All-State Honors

Two Pleasantville Trojan Football Players were awarded with the honor of being selected to the All-State team for class A. Zeb Adreon made the All-State First Team for his prowess at safety, and Sawyer Phillips for his dominance at middle linebacker was granted a second team spot.

Pleasantville Football Says Goodbye to 13 Seniors

The Pleasantville Trojan Football Team ended their season Monday night in the second round of the playoffs with a 28-0 loss to Gladbrook-Reinbeck. The program enjoyed its most successful season under current head coach Gabe Bakker at 9-2, and now Coach Bakker will have to say goodbye to his first senior class that has spent their entire four years under his direction. Thirteen seniors will leave the program, leaving behind a legacy they can be proud of.
Scout Van Haalen, Zeb Adreon, Brock Busick, Nash Rechkemmer, Brad Wimmer, Gunnar Sampson, Luke Myers, Darren Mcleon, Travis Daggett, Carter Cook, Leo Sampaio, Booker Beier and Ethan Worthington. Pleasantville Head Coach Gabe Bakker says this worked incredibly hard to get themselves to where they are today. The Trojans have plenty of underclassman to try and continue the seniors legacy, Coach Bakker plans on graduating another 13 seniors a year from now with his strong junior class.
