At the midway point of their season, the Pleasantville girls basketball team holds a 4-5 record through their first nine games.

The Trojan girls, who are under first year head coach Allyson Simpson, have had several ups and downs in their 2023-2024 season thus far. The Trojans have recorded wins against Melcher-Dallas, Wayne, Madrid, and Ogden this season to put them at 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the West Central Conference. The Trojans have lost their last two games to stiff competition against  #3 Des Moines Christian and #2 Panorama as they head into the break. The Trojan girls have seen a majority of their offensive production from Joelle Johnson who is turning heads in her junior year by averaging 24.9 points per game. That mark ranks fourth in the entire state of Iowa and leads the West Central Conference.

The Pleasantville girls basketball team will be back in action on January 2nd when they host Lynnville-Sully.
