Pleasantville Baseball Ends Skid, Softball Falls to Wayne

After a rare five game losing streak, the Pleasantville Trojan baseball team has ended their skid with a 9-3 win over Wayne, while the softball team fell 9-2 to the Falcons. Grant Fouch threw a complete game to pick up the much needed win, while the bats were hot.

Area Teams Run Into Severe Weather, Shortened Games

Both the Pleasantville and PCM baseball games were shortened by the severe weather last night, with the Trojans game being suspended in the third with Pleasantville trailing Winterset 1-0, while the Mustangs game was called final in the fourth in a 2-1 loss to Albia. The Pleasantville softball team managed to get their entire game in against Colfax-Mingo, falling 11-1.
