Pleasantville and Carlisle has been one of the best small school vs. bigger school rivalry around the state. The two schools are separated by about ten miles of Highway Five and Pleasantville Football Coach Tim Koerselman says it is always a big event, but that rivalry may have to end if Pleasantville goes down to class “A” from one-A. Koerselman ads if that happens, the state will schedule games for Pleasantville that will be class “A” teams. He adds that would not be all bad because the Trojans would pick up teams like North Mahaska, Southeast Warren, Lynnville-Sully, and Martensdale St. Mary’s. Koerselman says all of those games would be good gates and the road trips would not be very long for the team or fans. The Trojans open up with Carlisle August 26th.
