One local manufacturer continues to grow.

CEO of Precision Pulley and Idler (PPI) Roger Brown tells KRLS News they have two distinct divisions now, expanding into the food industry beyond the industrial work they are most known for.

“We were used to being in mining, sand, gravel, and rock quarries, and then we decided a few years ago when we acquired a company up in Algona called Kofab to kind of diversify our business–so we were looking for something different than we have been.”

Brown says they ran out of space for their current growth, and they are expanding to a new office at their current site. In the manufacturing operation, the biggest need for the organization is welders, according to Brown.
