The Knoxville City Council will soon hear options about renewable energy in a work session before their next scheduled meeting. Red Lion Renewables, a company out of Norwalk, will be making a presentation on future energy projects the city could put forward.

Red Lion Renewables is a company focused on helping schools, churches, and towns integrate renewable energy in a financially responsible manner. Knoxville City Manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News investing in renewable energy could have multiple benefits that include not just cost saving measures, but also for the city to be an example towards the residents of Knoxville to reduce their carbon footprint. The council will have a work session on Monday, April 16th at 5pm, with the potential for the council to take action in their meeting which follows at 6:15pm.
