Red Rock Dam

With the recent approval of the Red Rock Hydroelectric Plant, Bill Radio, Director of Member and Public Relations for Missouri River Energy Services has been in town meeting with local civic and business leaders. Radio tells KNIA/KRLS News that all 61 of Missouri River’s municipalities will pay an equal amount towards the project, and he adds that the cost to the consumer will be blended in with their bill. David Gatoe, Project Manager for Ames Construction who was awarded the build, says that they hope to get started in July, and the project will take approximately four years. Gatoe adds that the first road closure over the dam is expected after Labor Day and will take “a couple months.”
