The second shotgun deer hunting season begins Saturday in Marion County. Conservation Officer Ken Kenyon says that the first season went pretty well, though there was one minor incident of property damage. He reminds hunters to be aware of not just what they’re shooting at, but what’s in front of and behind the deer as well, including both people and property. Kenyon says that it was a pretty typical first season, with a normal amount of hunters and deer harvested.
