Daylight Saving Time began this morning at 2am, so those who have not set their clocks ahead an hour should do so. Daylight Saving Time both in the spring and fall serves as an effective time for all residents to check safety equipment in their home, by replacing all batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, inspecting fire extinguishers, and updating old alarms when they are expired.
