Knoxville Baseball Coach Steve Mott was awarded the Class 3A Southeast District Coach of the Year Saturday night at the Annual Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association Awards banquet in Cedar Rapids. In four seasons as head coach Mott has taken two Panther squads to the state tournament including this past summer where Knoxville finished in the class three-A semi-finals and was the top seed in the three-A state tournament. Mott says it’s a credit to the players that want to keep winning baseball going in Knoxville.
