The Knoxville Softball Squad fell to ADM on Friday 7-0. The Panthers were limited to just two hits with Maddy Findley and Brittany Bacorn getting one hit each. Ashlyn Finarty took the loss going five innings allowing two runs on five hits, four walks and three strikeouts. Jadyn Streigle pitched one inning of relief. The Panthers were hampered by 14 strikeouts at the plate and committed five errors in the field. Coach Carla Smith tells KRLS Sports her girls need to keep their confidence up at the plate and keep hitting away.

Smith:
“We just have to get our girls down the line up to be strong at the plate and hit the ball and fight off pitches that aren’t strikes or strikes that we don’t like. It’s not that we’re not hitting the ball well, we’re getting line drives and they just have to get through. I told them to keep hitting and things will fall for us.”

Knoxville is now 4-2 on the season and will travel to Clarke on Monday.
