Residents in the Marion County area that are considering competing in this year’s Summer Iowa Games are running short on time to register for many of the game’s events. Registrations for many of the sports must be submitted by Monday, and some deadlines have already passed.

Last summer, 226 residents from Marion County participated in the games, and organizers are expected over 15,000 athletes from around the state to take part this year. More information on the 2010 Summer Iowa Games, including how to register, are available at www.IowaGames.org.
