Underdog Tim Shaffer Wins Dramatic 50th Annual Knoxville Nationals

Over 23,000 fans packed the stands at the Knoxville Raceway Saturday night, all hoping to see something spectacular, and many hoping to see an underdog win the 50th annual Knoxville Nationals, and they got just that as Tim Shaffer passed four time defending champion Donny Schatz to take the white flag and held on to   win his first ever Knoxville Nationals.

Rain Delays Opening Night of Races at Knoxville Nationals

After a near four hour rain delay the green flag fell at 12:15 this morning and Tim Shaffer of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania took the checkered flag at 2:30 to win Night one of the 49th Annual Super Clean Knoxville Nationals.
