The heads of Titan Machinery were in Pella Monday afternoon to finalize the company’s acquisition of Pella Implement. CEO David Meyer tells KNIA/KRLS News the company chose to expand into Pella because of the many positive attributes already in place.
“We the farming that goes on here, we like the customers, we like the history, and we like the legacy of the International harvester and the Case IH product in this market,” said Meyer. “So there’s a lot of positives.”
Meyer adds that management and employees will remain the same, but says they will likely look to invest in a new, larger building.
“We definitely like to invest in facilities,” said Meyer. I can see we have a real need here for some expansion of facilities, so we’re looking right now for a solution for a larger shop and larger parts storage area.”
Titan Machinery is headquartered in Fargo, North Dakota, and owns 70 implement dealerships in seven states. The company also added Oskaloosa Implement to its brand during the same time as the Pella Implement acquisition.
