Matching their low team score for the tournament, the Central men’s golf team carded a 300 in day four of the NCAA Division III national tournament to finish with a four-day total of 1209 and placing 12th overall.

Alex Hill delivered a 3-run home run and threw a complete game 3-hitter as Montclair State clipped Central College 4-1 in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Softball Championships last night.

They may as well have had a bumper sticker on the back of their bus that said, “To Livermore or Bust!,” as the PCM boys’ golf team had no problem placing first in their district to earn themselves a trip to state next weekend.

Pella and Knoxville have flexed their collective muscles during this 2013 spring season, and their hard work paid off, as a total of 42 events between the two schools were able to move on to compete at Drake Stadium starting this afternoon in Des Moines for the Class 3A state track meet.
