Traffic signal poles are being painted in Pella. Public Works Director Denny Buyert says they do this every 15 to 20 years. The painting requires the use of a boom arm, which allows crews to paint high reaching areas of the signals. The process will cause temporary closures of sidewalks, but shouldn’t cause any road closures. The signals in the intersections of Liberty and Main, Main and Washington, and Washington and Broadway will be painted.
