The Twin Cedars boys basketball team finished the regular season with a 10-12 record and are about to begin the postseason, as they’ll host Bluegrass Conference foe Moravia on Monday night. The team is led by a core of young, but talented players, and KNIA/KRLS Sports Director Eric Gotschall had the chance to catch up with junior Eric Clark and sophomores Hunter Embray and Derek Springer during this week’s Marion County PM Sports Page program to talk about the Sabers’ ups and downs this season, their goals for the postseason and why it’s cool to wear pink.

A packed gym at Twin Cedars High School was on hand Tuesday night to watch a pair of closely-contested Bluegrass Conference games between Marion County Rivals Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas for the two schools’ collaborative Coaches vs. Cancer games.

Perhaps it was the two-hour bus ride, or maybe it was the anticipation of tonight’s contest with rival Melcher-Dallas – either way the Twin Cedars boys basketball team did not have the focus needed to win a basketball game last night, losing 37-29 at Orient-Macksburg.
