Today is Field Day at West Elementary, where students participate in a variety of track and field activities designed to get them outdoors and active as well as learn something about track and field events.
Though there are still more than two months of school left for the current academic year, Knoxville parents need to register their young children for next year’s preschool class.

Knoxville’s West Elementary has been named a 2010 No Child Left Behind-Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.

Today is the deadline to register for the Knoxville School District’s new free four year-old preschool program.
The Knoxville Elementary Schools will be re-aligning next year. West Elementary will house grades Pre-Kindergarten and 1st grade and Northstar Elementary will house all students in grades 2-5.
