A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect until noon for most of central Iowa as a burst of arctic air once again impacts the region. Wind chill values as low as 25 degrees below zero are expected, in which frostbite is possible in as little as 30 minutes. Despite the calendar flipping to March, winter will keep its grip on the area a bit longer, as according to the National Weather Service, temperatures will likely remain well below normal over the next week, with chances for snow returning Thursday and again next weekend.
