A program on the pre-history of the Des Moines River Valley is being held Friday at Lake Red Rock. Pete Eyheralde, a naturalist with the Mahaska County Conservation Office, says the program “Iowa’s Prehistory,” will focus on the natives that called the area their home, and will include several artifacts on display. The free, all ages program and will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday at the North Overlook Amphitheatre at Lake Red Rock.
