This week’s Thursdays in Pella helped those in attendance “Prepare for the Fair,” and a few even took home hypothetical blue ribbons of their own. Sharesa Van Arendonk won the pie-baking contest with a unique grape pie, while the eating contest winners were Allan Walz for pizza, Mark Hays for ice cream, and Michael Oscarson ate through the most poffertjes.
