Overall the 49th Annual Superclean Knoxville Nationals went smoothly for local law enforcement agencies. Marion County Sheriff Ron Goemaat says the crowd at the racetrack has been much calmer in recent years compared to several years ago. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada says there were no major disturbances across the city, although the department had over 320 calls for service, up from 218 during Nationals in 2008. Losada also says 25 arrests were made during the races this year, up from 11 in 2008.
