After a near four hour rain delay the green flag fell at 12:15 this morning and Tim Shaffer of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania took the checkered flag at 2:30 to win Night one of the 49th Annual Super Clean Knoxville Nationals. A rain shower at around 7:15 p.m. caused the races to be delayed until 11:00 p.m. when hot laps began. Unofficially Donny Schatz leads the points standings with a total of 466. The rest of the field will qualify tonight.
