Oskaloosa upset Pella Christian handing the Eagles their first Little Hawkeye Conference volleyball loss last night 3-2… 23-25, 25-16, 20-25, 25-16, and 10-15. Eagles coach John Evenhouse said Oskaloosa really stepped up their play especially defensively and the Eagles just committed too many mistakes especially in games one and three. He said the Eagles have gone to several four and five game sets this season and usually step up in game five and get the win, but last night just weren’t able to do that. Bekkah Posthuma had 27 assists to go along with 21 digs, Darci Jansen had 4 ace serves, , Paige Zylstra had 5 blocks, Courtney Kroeze led the team with 14 kills, and Jasmin Schelhaas had 32 digs. The Eagles dropped to 9-7 overall and are now 3-1 in the LHC.
