An ice storm last week, followed by warmer temperatures and .33″ of rain on Saturday led to area flooding Sunday and potential for flooding today. Cedar Creek near Bussey exceeded its flood stage by over a foot on Sunday and has since receded, and a flood warning is currently in effect for the Skunk River near Oskaloosa until this evening. Currently the river is approaching flood stage. We are currently under a winter weather advisory until 6pm. Expect snow and blowing snow causing potentially dangerous travel conditions. Snow is currently falling in Marion County, and 1-3 inches may be expected over the course of the daylight hours continuing into the night.
