The Pella School Board considered options for making up snow days for the current school year at last week’s meeting. If the missed days were all added on to the end of the year, classes would run until June 10th. The board approved to use Good Friday as one make-up, and count Parent/Teacher Conferences as a day of student contact, as is allowed by the Iowa Department of Education – which will keep students in class until June 8th. Should more days be missed due to weather, the Pella School Board opted to add one more day onto the end of the school year and will use the second day of conferences, if necessary.
