Pella Christian High School’s One-Act Play entry at the State Large Group Speech Contest earned All-State Nomination honors this past weekend. The 15-member cast performed the drama Orphan Trains, which is based on trends at the turn of the twentieth century that sent homeless and unwanted children from New York City to the Midwest by train.
The All-State Nomination marks the third consecutive year that Pella Christian’s One-Act Play has been selected as one of eight schools in Iowa to perform at the All-State Speech Festival.
