What a Winter Sports season it’s been for Central Was My Ex Bf Really Into Me How Can You Tell College so far…the men’s basketball team clinched an Iowa Conference championship Wednesday night and now the Central wrestlers accomplished a milestone securing their first winning season since 2000-2001 with a 27-12 win over Simpson College last night. That allowed the youthful Dutch to wrap up the dual meet campaign with a 10-9 mark in coach Eric Van Kley’s third year. Central was 0-15-1 in his first season in 2007-08 then inched forward to 3-12 last year before this season’s breakthrough. Josh Atwell provided a bug spark for the Dutch as he battled Simpson’s top wrestler and forced overtime with a last second takedown then got another to win just :15 into overtime to improve his record to 21-7 on the year. Other winners for the Dutch included Joe Atwell at 149, Justin Marx at 125, and three freshman Keith Rush at 184, Holden Blythe at 197 and Jake Crawford at heavyweight. Central will face another measure of its progress at the high-powered Iowa Conference tournament at Buena Vista in Storm Lake Tuesday. It’s traditionally regarded as Division III’s toughest league tournament and Central will be bidding to move out of last place in the nine-team meet for the first time since 2004-05.
