Pella High School is promoting the work of its students and teachers in elective courses with an event Thursday evening. The Second Annual Excellence in Electives event will include food for guests and demonstrations and exhibits on over 30 elective courses offered at Pella High School.
Kathy VanNorden, a Family and Consumer Sciences Instructor at Pella High School, and one of the organizers of the event, says courses that are participating cover everything from music to foreign languages to agriculture to journalism – and many others.
The event, which will follow an “el Carnaval” theme, is free and open to all members of the public, and will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Pella High School.
