The pool at the Knoxville Recreation Center will be closed for the month of March for routine maintenance. During this time the pool will be painted, which is required by the State Health Inspector to be done every four to five years. In order to save the city money, the painting will be done by Recreation Center staff and Jerry Ayers from City maintenance. City Council approved the bid by Norberg Paints for paint supplies for a total of $4,174.10. Director Brandon Nemmers says they hope to have the pool back open by April.
