The end of this week marks second of two self-imposed deadlines for Iowa lawmakers. State Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven of Pella says all bills being debated on the floor of the Iowa House will need to be sent to the Senate to be taken up by committees, while the Senate will do the same to send legislation to the House. Similar to the “funnel week” two weeks ago, the self-imposed deadline helps keep proposed legislation moving forward in both the House and Senate.
