Clint Garner won his second race of the season last night at the Knoxville Raceway, but still only lengthened his points lead to just nine points over Dustin Selvage. Selvage finished fourth to keep within striking distance. Not only did Garner have to deal with a late race yellow, but Tony Shilling nearly stole the show as he was attempting to pass Garner for the lead on the 18th lap, Brooke Tatnell stalled in turn two. Garner later said that gave him what he needed as on the restart he pulled away to get the win. Shilling ended up finishing third behind Johnny Anderson. Sammy Swindell stayed undefeated at the Knoxville Raceway in 2010 with his third win. Swindell passed Tatnell, who was driving in both classes last night midway through the race and ran away from everyone. This was Swindell’s third win of the season at Knoxville. He previously won the Masters Classic, and a regular night in June.
