After playing against likely the top three team in Class 3A District eight, Knoxville’s football schedule will get a little more manageable starting this Friday with a home game against Newton. Coach Troy Rider is still insisting that the fourth playoff spot is still not out of the question, and with four more games remaining he says all of those games are winnable. Not only is a playoff spot still on the table but a no-worse than 500 season is still a possibility if the Panthers win out. Knoxville’s next four opponents are Newton this Friday followed by Saydel, Perry and Dallas Center-Grimes.
