Scratch one name from the entry list of the Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals next weekend. NASCAR Star Tony Stewart has withdrawn due in part of his efforts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase, and because several of the Late Model regular took issue with him getting an automatic provisional in last year’s race. One of the most vocal was race winner Scott Bloomquist. Stewart decided to withdrawn because of the outcry saying he understood why the drivers would be upset over his provisional starting position. Two other NASCAR drivers, Ryan Newman and Kenny Schrader are still scheduled to race at Knoxville next week.
