After playing against likely the top three teams in Class 3A District eight, Knoxville’s football schedule will get a little more manageable starting this Friday with a home game against Newton. Coach Troy Rider is still insisting that the fourth playoff spot is still not out of the question. Not only is a playoff spot still on the table but a no-worse than 500 season is still a possibility if the Panthers win out and claim a playoff spot. Knoxville’s next four opponents are Newton this Friday followed by Saydel, Perry and Dallas Center-Grimes.
