Osier is playing for Central’s second unit, the White team, which stands second in the 11-team tourney at 299. National junior college power Indian Hills leads with 296 while Central’s first team , the Red squad, is third at 305. The Central Gray team is seventh at 337 and the Central Black team is eighth at 339. The 36-hole tourney concludes Saturday. The tournament is named for the late Dr. Norman Ryerson, a former education department faculty member and the architect of the Dutch men’s golf dynasty. He served as head coach from 1975-86, piloting Central to nine Iowa Conference championships and 10 NCAA Division III tournament berths, with three national top-10 team finishes.
