The annual Knoxville Crop Walk to fight hunger will take place on Sunday. This year’s walk will begin and end at the Knoxville High School and walkers are able to choose between the classic 3.1 mile route through Marion County Park or a one mile walk along the bike trail. Walk organizer Pat Finan says hunger is an issue both locally and across the world and affects more people than most of us realize. Money raised from the crop walk will go to Church World Service and Helping Hands.

Registration will begin at 1pm with the walk beginning at 1:30. Snacks and drinks will be provided after the walk and all participants will receive prizes from area businesses. Those who would like more information or a sponsor form can call organizer Pat Finan at 842-5148.
