Due to new construction being down considerably, Pella Corporation has taken measures to meet current business needs. As KNIA/KRLS News recently reported, 198 employees opted for early retirement or voluntary separations through an incentive based plan after the company closed its Fairfield, Ohio plant, which manufactured doors. The workforce reduction continued today as 33 more employees were separated from the workforce involuntarily. 19 others have been offered the opportunity of taking another job within the company or severance.
