Even though winter is near and it’s cold outside now, swimmers and sunbathers have something to look forward to next summer. Park Ranger Junifer Kruse tells KNIA/KRLS News that there are two new buildings at North Overlook Beach. The two buildings include eight family-style restrooms, six of which offer a shower facility to rinse off after swimming. One of the buildings also includes a concession area. In addition, Kruse says that they have made changes to the beach and the new buildings are on high enough land that they shouldn’t go underwater. Both buildings are pre-engineered structures from Romtec, a company based in Roseburg, Oregon.
