The Knoxville City Council will meet in special session this evening. Two topics are on the agenda for the meeting, first City Manager Dick Schrad will present a resolution calling for a referendum to the council in relation to the local option sales tax that will expire in Knoxville in December of 2012. In addition the council will further discuss the possible purchase of an additional ambulance and equipment for the city fire and rescue department. The meeting will take place at 5pm in the council chambers of the Knoxville City Hall.
