During the holiday season it can be easy to over-indulge but according to Dietitian at Pella Regional Health Center Diane Pettit, the holiday season doesn’t end at Christmas. Pettit says that people tend to overeat during New Years parties and postseason football games like the Superbowl. In addition Pettit believes that everyone should enjoy the good food that comes along with the holiday season, but to do so in moderation. Knoxville Recreation Center Supervisor Trish Worrall says that they are offering a four week program called “Fueled and Fit” to help educate people about eating right. She says that in the past they have focused on the fitness side of things but this class will focus on nutrition, which she thinks is what people struggle with the most.
