After a handful of meets in quick succession, the Pella wrestling team has had some time away from competition to return to the basics.  Little Dutch Head Coach Joe Burch says the time in the practice room has created a valuable opportunity for the team to focus on conditioning and hitting on the fundamentals that were set in place in the off-season. 

Burch adds that another benefit of the extra time in practice is that it has made his squad anxious to get out and prove themselves against an opponent from another team.  In Pella’s case, that opponent will be Knoxville, as the Little Dutch will make the trip across Lake Red Rock to face the Panthers tonight.
