Pella students put their athleticism on display Thursday as they welcomed representatives from Van Meter and Audubon for a PE4Life demonstration. Students participated in rollerblading and wall climbing among other activities, showing the benefits of the PE4Life initiative. Pella Elementary P.E. Specialist Tracey Murphy says that the reason Van Meter and Audubon were visiting today is because they are part of 50 PE4Life adopt-a-schools in the state of Iowa, who are interested in adopting the program. PE4Life promotes physical fitness and education for students in an effort to help fight childhood obesity.
