The Knoxville Recreation Center is now offering a new tool to the community that can help aid in weight loss and fitness goals. The Bodybugg system is a calorie management system that is worn as an arm band and keeps an accurate daily record of calories consumed versus calories burned which makes it easier for users to stay informed, make decisions and effectively manage their weight.
Wellness Supervisor Trish Worrall says the program allows people to set goals by entering how much weight they wish to lose in how much time and then the Bodybugg will develop a specific program tailored to that person telling them how much they should eat and how much exercise they need to reach their goal. Worrall says she typically is not in favor of such gadgets but this has proved to be a helpful tool that helps eliminate the guessing game from weight loss goals.
The Bodybuggs and a beginners tutorial are available at the recreation center during regular business hours.
